On the weekend I visited Canberra! A place I'd spent part of my childhood growing up, and the now home of my sister and her family, as well as some old friends. Whilst visiting Canberra I was thrilled to catch up with two of those good friends; Kelly, Dane and their gorgeous little family at the National Botanic Gardens.

The Blackwood forest recreation park is such a great spot for portraits, from it’s rolling fields covered in wild flowers to the old, tall pine forest the gently bent and creaked in the wind as it swayed high above our heads.

Life is full of special moments, and Andreea loves to capture all of them in beautiful photography. So when she came back to Adelaide to christen her son Lukas, there was no doubt that it was a moment highly worthy of capturing.

It's hard enough to choose which 50-100 photos per wedding to share on each of their blog posts. Let alone which one photo from each session to bring together in one end of year blog post. This year however, I can't help but share!

Wednesday was one of those beautifully warm and sunny days, and absolutely perfect for Emma & Alex's engagement session at Brighton Beach. They're such a sweet couple, and naturals in front of the camera. With a session full of love, sunshine and cuddles, I was one happy photographer. I can't wait for their wedding next year!! :)

She was full of life, energy and cheeky fun then as she celebrated with them - and that was no different when we caught up on Sunday for a portrait session with her partner Dylan on her 30th birthday! (Happy birthday again Sam). :)
Read MoreAs photographers we all find our grooves, we know what we like and what is more difficult for us to work with. As we develop our style and niche certain types of light, places and people will fit perfectly within the mould that we have carefully crafted. Our moulds and grooves are made as any well worn path would be, with consistent practice, and time, they form comforting and familiar spaces. New challenges, new lighting, pushing ourselves to continue to grow and try new things will all enable us to gradually embrace a wider variety of things that fit within our style. Pushing it to become something better.

On Friday, during a beautifully glowing sunset, I got to hang out with two lovely, loved-up people and their energetic dog Charlie at one of my favourite places in SA; Port Willunga.
