When I'm your photographer, your photos will be full of life and laughter! That's why for me, being friendly, approachable and empathetic is just as important as my technical approach to taking photos. It's one thing to capture a persons face, but another entirely to capture their laugh, a sigh, a little glimpse at who they really are. What I offer as a photographer is the chance to capture the fleeting moments and tiny details that make up the best memories in our lives. Mindfully creating photos with artistic intent, without loosing the natural essence of a moment.
Green Goals
I love our Earth! Isn't she beautiful? Nothing beats being in and photographing nature. 💛 Which is why I am so proud to be a member of 1% for the planet, promising that green loving charities will receive a minimum of 1% of all Little Car Photography’s revenue. On top of this, LCP also makes regular donations to Greenpeace Australia and the United Nations Australia. I also personally offset carbon emissions through monthly payments to Our Trace to plant trees and invest in projects that reduce or remove carbon emissions from the atmosphere.
LCP uses compostable post bags, environmentally friendly packaging and eco USBs. Every little bit helps, and I’m always looking for new ways to make a positive difference. 🌱 (If you have any ideas, get in touch and let me know! x)
What is Natural Photography?
Every photographer will work in a unique style, with unique processes. Mine is what I like to call “natural photography”. But what exactly does “natural photography” mean? When I meet you for your session or say hi on your wedding day, I won’t be judging how you look or what you’re wearing. (But if you’d like tips on what to wear, you can check out this blog post.) My job is not to judge if you have barefeet, if your kids have little choccie stains on their lips or if you have glowing freckles from falling asleep in your deck chair. (In fact, I quite like all those things!) My job is to capture who you are, the love you have and share, and the precious moments in your life that you want to remember.
Natural photography is not “perfect” or glossy, it’s not overly staged or posed. It’s real, authentic and full of love. Love for your family, your friends, your community or the world and nature. It’s certainly not photoshopped or face-tuned, just a natural edit to bring out the best colours and tones in the photo. My photography is all about loving yourself as you are right now. Of course, I still love light and gorgeous locations. I will still swoon over your beautiful wedding dress or your child’s perfect curly locks. I’ll still interact with you and give you direction as needed. We’ll still use flattering and artistic light wherever possible. But we won’t forgo the special little imperfect moments that life is all about. And I won’t change a thing about you, because you are perfect as you are.
How Little Car Photography Began
Little Car Photography was created as an artistic alternative to the many traditional or purely candid photography options available. Providing natural photos with a distinctive style, and an experience that is simple, relaxed and real. I won't just stand back to 'spray and pray' with a purely candid approach, but I won't pose every single detail and stage every aspect of your day/session either. I'll be in the background capturing beautiful little moments when I see them, but I'll also be there with you creating artistic images of movement and life. I know when to step back, and when to step forward to create life filled images that show the true expression and nuances of your life, love and celebrations.

Adventures with friends. Laughing out loud. Seeing the world. Cuddles with loved ones. Yoga. Long walks on the beach. Hikes through hills & scrub. Day dreaming. Great zero alcohol craft beers. Chocolate. Green vegetables. Sunshine. Dancing badly. Finding new places. Swimming in the ocean. Singing in the shower. Fluffy furry friends. And of course, taking lots & lots of beautiful photographs!
